“Like, go eat 3 or 4.”– Teresa Herchert, esthetician

Winters in the mid-west are harsh on our skin and bellies. I find myself not eating enough greens, simply because I don’t have the appetite for them. My winter cravings have been warm starchy comfort foods. Here is a yummy smoothie recipe that includes lots of greens and those good fats.

Your skin will be glowing, your belly will be digesting and your lips will be (kissable) silky smooth again.

Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter (green) Smoothie:

smoothie

  • 4-5 stalks of Kale or  1-2 cups of Spinach
  • 2 cups of Almond Milk
  • 2 tbsp of REAL Peanut Butter (ingredients: ground peanuts)
  • 1 (or 1/2) Banana
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Green SuperFood – (buy on Amazon, it’s cheaper)
  • 1 Avocado
  • Spirulina (optional, beware it’s taste altering)

*All ingredients can be purchased at Whole Foods

 Enjoy,
